Sandvik launches new in-house driveline rebuild solutions

Posted on 12 Aug 2015

Sandvik has launched a new in-house initiative for driveline rebuilds, offering a more convenient and cost effective solution to its Australian customers. According to Teresa Soanes, Sandvik’s Service Business Line Manager, streamlining of Sandvik’s internal service capabilities have resulted in the company now being able to offer a ‘one-stop-shop’ for customers, offering a cost-effective repair and rebuild option, eliminating the need to engage external subcontractors or purchase expensive parts.

“With convenience and peace of mind the driving force behind Sandvik’s rebuild solutions, our network of branches are strategically positioned close to customers,” she said. “In addition we offer a full scope of supply, installation and servicing, delivering increased component life, backed by a 12-month/2,000-hour warranty.”

Soanes said that with the addition of transmission and converter test benches to Sandvik’s rebuild offering, a complete range of testing, repairs and rebuilds can now be performed.

“Our quality driveline component repairs are competitively priced and use only genuine OEM parts. As well, Sandvik’s technicians are able to rebuild all Sandvik equipment driveline components, including converters, gearboxes and axles. As an authorised Kessler repairer and experienced Spicer and Dana Service Centre, we can help our customers get back to work faster, performing transmission and converter rebuilds and repairs both on and off site.”

Soanes said that for customers looking to minimise down-time, Sandvik also offered service exchange for Kessler, Dana, Clark, Spicer and Allison components, available to be dispatched immediately, when required.

“We test equipment for full functionality before it is returned to the customer, ensuring productivity remains constant and costs are reduced,” she said. “We provide detailed and easy-to-read customer assessment reports prior to starting any rebuild and repair activities, including photographs to explain all necessary repair work.

“Upon completion, all rebuilds and repair jobs are followed up by our after-sales support to ensure customer satisfaction and quality maintenance of equipment,” said Soanes.
