SSAB is introducing Hardox in round bars with, the company says, “the same guaranteed properties as in plate. Hardox round bars, delivered quenched and tempered to high tensile strength and hardness levels, represent entirely new possibilities for stronger and lighter product design.” Hardox round bars, such as pins can be used in excavator buckets. The use of these new bars also gives possibilities to optimise workshop procedures such as machining, welding and polishing.
