FLSmidth has launched a global benchmark survey to discover automation opportunities as part of its strategy to drive automation innovation in the minerals industry. “We believe there are numerous automation opportunities yet to be fully utilised, such as ensuring effective production asset management, enhancing performance and improving recovery rates,” says Rafael Martinez, Vice President, Automation USA. The initiative, titled “Find Your Hidden Treasure,” includes participants from global mining centres such as North and South America, Australia and South Africa.

The benchmark was launched in November 2010. Participants will receive a personalised benchmark report with comments by industry analyst ARCweb. In addition, respondents will be eligible to participate in a drawing for a free automation plant audit conducted by FLSmidth specialists to evaluate automation opportunities.
