Anglo American has presented Melco Conveyor Equipment with the inaugural Supplier Award for Sustainability. At a recent ceremony the award was presented to Melco’s Executive Chairman, Carsten Spanggaard, in recognition of the company’s achievements as a supplier to Anglo American. Melco was one of four companies shortlisted globally from all of Anglo American’s suppliers.
“We are delighted to have received this award”, said Spanggaard”. “Sustainability is central to our customer focused approach and we are deeply honoured to have our efforts validated at such a prestigious event”.
Andrew Hinkly, Anglo American’s Group Head of Supply Chain, said “Through our Supplier Award, we have been able to communicate, engage and share with suppliers what it takes to meet our ambition to become the investment, the partner and the employer of choice.
