Dando attended the Prospectors and Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) convention again this year and reported “that there was some renewed confidence this year.
“This optimism was reflected in the number of visitors to the Dando stand and strong enquiries for the Terrier on display and other models in Dando’s mineral exploration range. The interest of many prospectors at the show reconfirmed that miners currently require smaller, more compact mineral drilling rigs for exploration work.”
Dando has sought to address this need with the rotary and angle-drilling Terrier models and the mid-sized Multitec 4000 (seen here in Panama). Based on requests at PDAC and from existing customers the Dando design department “will now set their sights on a new, compact model specifically geared toward coring, RC and RAB drilling in the 100-150 m range,” the company states.
