Mining Vietnam 2012 will be held from March 7 – 9, 2012 at the International Center for Exhibition in Hanoi. The exhibition co-organised by VCCI Exhibition Services and Allworld Exhibitions Alliance will attract exhibiting companies with the latest technology, products and services from around the world.
Mining Vietnam will follow the proven successful formula of the renowned Mining Indonesia event , organised by Allworld Exhibitions for over 30 years attracting a strong representation of exhibiting companies from various countries. This exhibition creates investment and business matching opportunities for thousands of enterprises, including some from Vietnam.
Attracted by Vietnam’s reputation as one of the fastest developing economies in the region and the vast potential of the mining and minerals recovery industry, the organisers decided the time was right to bring this exhibition to Hanoi.
Building on the prevailing success and reputation of Allworld Exhibitions in Vietnam in both Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, VCCI Exhibition Services and Allworld Exhibitions will continue their co-operation to organise Mining Vietnam 2012, which will bring yet another reputable exhibition brand to Vietnam and create opportunities for Vietnamese enterprises in the mining industry.
This exhibition is strongly supported by Government organisations and leading industry enterprises including The Ministry of Industry and Trade, The Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment, The Vietnam National Coal and Mineral Industries Group (VINACOMIN) and many other local and international exhibiting companies and mining trade associations.
“The Ministry of Industry and Trade applaud the organisers, local and international exhibiting companies for their effort towards the success of this event. This exhibition will be an excellent platform for related companies and professionals to explore new investment and market development opportunities. As an official supporting organization, we warmly welcome Mining Vietnam 2012 and believe that this exhibition will be an ideal avenue for enterprises’ success” said Le Duong Quang, Vice Minister of Industry and Trade and CEO of VINACOMIN.
Vietnam is well endowed with a wide variety of quality mineral deposits. There are some 200 coal mines with a total reserve of almost 7,000 Mt, VCCI Exhibition Services reports. Other mineral potential includes: iron ore, chromites, copper, tin, wolfram, gold, lead, zinc, uranium, antimony, rare earth, gems, limestone and clay.
To meet Vietnam’s growth targets VINACOMIN is implementing a series of projects to expand capacity and open new mines:
- Increasing coal production from 45 Mt in 2009 to 56 Mt by 2015 with 50% from underground mines
- Investing $180 million in six gold mines
- Investing $340 million in seven copper mines
- Investing $200 million in three nickel mines
- Exploration, exploitation and processing of serpentine, barite, graphite, fluorite, bentonite, diatomite and talc with a total investment of $180 million.
“Mining Vietnam 2012 will be a critical networking opportunity for industry leaders, both local and international to come together to form strategic alliances. The event’s launch allows participating exhibitors, conference delegates and industry stakeholders to address urgent demands from the mining industry in Vietnam and compare the latest technologies, equipment and expertise.
Alongside the exhibition, a high-level conference program will support the government’s strategy to modernise the mining industry to meet regional standards by 2015 and international standards by 2025.” said Ms. Bui Thi Thuc Anh, Chief Executive, VCCI Exhibition Services.
Featured among the exhibits will be excavators, preparation plants, conveyor systems, drilling equipment, draglines, hydraulic equipment & components, surveying instruments, graders, hoppers, pumps & valves, mine vehicles, agitators, vibrators, hoppers, ventilation and safety equipment, all aimed to boost Vietnam’s mineral recovery and productivity.
