Becker Mining America – a subsidiary of the German mining supplier Becker Mining Systems – a supplier of engineering, equipment, systems and services for mining has acquired Riter Engineering Co located in Salt Lake City, Utah. Riter Engineering provides engineered solutions to mining, industrial and utility customers throughout the western US.Riter was founded in 1916 with a primary focus of engineering, later evolving to include sales and technical support of electrical and mechanical equipment and components.

Becker Mining America is part of Becker Mining Systems, one of the world’s largest mining suppliers with 1,600 employees and an annual turnover of over 200 million Euro. Becker Mining Systems focuses on productivity and safety in mining as well as developing and supplying solutions in the areas of energy distribution, automation, communication and transport.
