With one of the most respected lines of sampling systems in the industry and years of experience in wet mineral processing, McLanahan Corp has combined these two areas of expertise to offer its own Vezin Sampler used to collect falling bulk material or slurry flow for highly accurate and reliable samples.
Easily implemented in a wide variety of mineral processing applications, Vezin Samplers are frequently used in primary, secondary, tertiary and quaternary sampling stages. The sample collection assembly can include a single cutter or multiple cutters – whichever is necessary to meet a particular application’s requirements.
Vezin Samplers are fully enclosed units that contain a rotating sample collection assembly. They feature convenient access and inspection panels on the top and the sides to allow for easy viewing of internal components and/or periodic cleaning. The cutter design incorporates a radial (wedge-shaped) cuter opening cross section to assure that a full, accurate increment sample is collected from the material stream. Each Vezin Sampler also includes a proximity sensor for rotation monitoring purposes.
Sample cutters in Vezin Samplers pass at a consistent, uniform speed through the falling bulk material or slurry stream, collecting samples from material that has entered the feed inlet at the top of the machine. Reject material passes directly through the machine, while the sample is sent through a fixed sample chute to the next step in the sampling process.
McLanahan constructs Vezin Samplers from mild or stainless steel, and can incorporate various liner materials or spray cleaning devices depending on the application requirements or customer request. Since not all sampling needs can be fit into a “one size fits all” solution, McLanahan can custom engineer these samplers, when required, to provide the best possible sampling solution for a producer. Each Vezin Sampler also comes with the service and support that backs all McLanahan equipment.
