Kolkata-based CDE Asia has announced an expansion of its current material testing capability following an agreement with the Institute of Minerals and Materials Technology (IMMT) in India. The agreement will involve collaboration between the IMMT and CDE Asia on the testing of mineral ores to assess their suitability for processing. IMMT, which was previously the Regional Research Laboratory was set up in Delhi in 1964 and is located in Bhubaneswar in the State of Orissa. The laboratory provides essential mineral processing testing with the aim of offering the industry the R&D support in relation to both product and process development to ensure the most efficient and sustainable use of natural resources. The agreement marks a significant development for CDE Asia as they seek to expand the reach of their ore washing and beneficiation systems. Commenting on the new agreement Manish Bhartia, Managing Director of CDE Asia said: “We have enjoyed significant success with the pioneering ore washing systems we have brought to the industry in recent years and this agreement with IMMT will allow us to expand our knowledge and capability and further develop our business both within the Indian market and globally.”
The existing mineral testing laboratory in operation at CDE Asia has quickly established a reputation for the delivery of significant commercial value to those considering the development and implementation of an ore washing and beneficiation plant. “Our mineral testing service is increasingly busy and our laboratory has undergone significant development in recent months with the addition of new equipment to allow full and complete testing of a wide range of mineral ores” explained Manish Bhartia.
CDE Asia operates from headquarters in Kolkata, India where there are more than 60 people employed across sales, technical engineering, design engineering and mineral testing among other disciplines. With a factory on the outskirts of Kolkata, CDE Asia manufactures equipment for the ore processing and construction sectors in India and SE Asia.
