The Bauma exhibition in Munich in late April went down well with exhibitors and visitors alike. Of the latter there were estimated to be over 500,000! This was the second time the event had been expanded to include a specific mining section, though mining visitors have always been an important part of the Bauma scene, and was another success.

William S. Tate, President and CEO, DBT commented: “Bauma 2007 and Mining has lived up to the high expectations placed upon it. The number and in particular the ‘quality’ of the international visitors in the field of mining technology show that Bauma with Mining has now firmly established itself as a trade exhibition and that it enjoys a high level of acceptance among the visitors."
