AIMEX shines the spotlight on mine safety in September

Many of these have already been covered in more detail in previous posts that can be found in the archives, by clicking the archive button. Here’s a quick rundown of just some of the safety related bullets:

  • Akron Brass will unveil a new range of manual, joystick-controlled and PLC-controlled robotic water cannons and fire-fighting nozzles on Stand 925
  • Becker Mining Systems Australia will show its recently launched Collision Avoidance and Proximity Detection System on Stand 322
    Conveyor Belt Monitoring (CBM) will showcase two new non-invasive conveyor belt monitoring products, both designed to extend the safe working life of conveyor belting and maximise the return on assets, on Stand H1034

  • Force 10 International will showcase quick-build buildings engineered to withstand Force 10 winds of 300 km an hour, cyclones, fires, floods and earthquakes on Stand H1163
  • Hedweld will release a new tyre handler designed as a maintenance tool for the safe and efficient removal or installation of tyres from a range of earthmoving and plant equipment on Stand 5707
  • Immersive Technologies will give visitors an opportunity to try out the mining industry’s latest generation training simulator, which has enhanced safety training as one of its attributes, on Stand 3120
  • Jennmar Australia will exhibit innovative ground support products and services aimed at enhancing the safety and production levels of underground mines on Stand 620
  • KAB Seating will release a new driver’s seat, for large off-highway vehicles, with a wide range of new features to enhance operator safety and comfort on Stand B1070
  • Korvest Ltd will showcase a range of innovative cable and pipe support systems, and industrial walkway and access solutions suitable for the mining industry on Stand R184
  • Marathon Tyres will promote a reusable flat proofing rubber liner that is designed to improve the safety and performance of rubber tyres on underground and industrial machines on Stand H1141
  • Minecom will show off a new communications system for reliable underground communications on Stand B1019
  • Mine Radio Systems (MRS) will showcase what it describes as new cost-effective and robust technology for collision avoidance, monitoring and reporting on Stand S162
  • Minova International will feature its new Carbomine phenolic resin injection system, described as an “ultra safe” NSW D11-approved injection resin, on Stand 2016
  • Minprovise will showcase a conveyor spillage cleaning machine designed to safely manoeuvre under low-height conveyor systems on Stand H1070
  • Optalert will demonstrate its Australian-developed and internationally recognised driver drowsiness and fatigue management systems on Stand H1050
  • Orica Mining Services will showcase new blasting developments designed to improve mining productivity, efficiency, safety and environmental outcomes on Stand 2016
  • Quarry Mining and Construction will feature drilling equipment developed specifically to make the drilling process in underground coal mines both safer and more efficient on Stand 5207
  • Ryco Hydraulics will highlight the safety aspects of its fluid connector technology, including hose and coupling assemblies that conform with the Mining Design Guideline 41 (MDG 41) for fluid power system safety at mines on Stand 1707
  • Strata Products Worldwide will unveil its newest emergency systems for underground coal mines on Stand 6111
  • Tamec Services will promote its Australian-developed technology designed to make mine conveyor belt maintenance safer, easier and faster on Stand H1104
  • ThoroughTec Simulation will help address matters such as emergency scenarios with hands-on experience of its new CYBERMINE4 simulation technology on Stand B1002-6
  • Wormald will demonstrate a wide range of its fire protection equipment and systems, including its Vehicle Fire Suppression systems which are designed to protect heavy vehicles against the threat of fire on Stand H115
