R.F.G Sales and Spares will put the spotlight on its All-in-One cap lamp for use in hard-rock mines on Stand R165 during AIMEX, September 6-9. On Stand H1185, Kinyun Australia will feature a series of cordless miners’ cap lamps for various applications. On the market for just over two years, the all-in-one cap lamp is being used at hard-rock mines around Australia and overseas with a new coal mine version in development. R.F.G. says the cap lamp features a lithium polymer battery, weighs only 190 g and suits all standard miners’ helmets.
“By eliminating the cumbersome and bulky battery pack and the cable that always gets caught, we are freeing up the movements of miners everywhere,” R.F.G. spokesman Daniel Quaile said.
The cap lamp produces bright and clear white light on both its main and backup lights and has more than 12 hours worth of main beam duration and 30-plus hours of back-up light, he said.
Available with single-point, 10-point and 50-point charging racks, the cap lamp is also compatible with many of the charging systems on the market.
More than 10 models of Kinyun Australia’s cordless miners’ cap lamps are available, all with LEDs, rechargeable lithium batteries and an IP67 rugged and fully sealed unit, and offering 14-hour operation.
Kinyun representative Henry Gong said the lamps were ANZEx and IECEx certified intrinsically safe by TestSafe Australia in Group I for underground coal mines and Group II for the petrochemical industry and metalliferous mines.
Cordless cap lamps could significantly improve the safety and health of workers, help increase productivity, simplify cap lamp management and reduce lamp room costs, Gong said. “Kinyun has led the transition from
traditional cap lamps to cordless cap lamps. Since releasing the first version in 2006, Kinyun Australia has established itself as the largest Australian cordless cap lamp company and supplied our products to many countries and regions, including New Zealand, Southeast Asia and Africa that recognise ANZEx or IECEx certification,” Gong said.
Kinyun cap lamps, which fit any Australian miner’s helmet, can be charged with the company’s charging banks in 53, 35 and 8 units.
Available accessories include a car charger, cap strap, magnetic bracket clamp, handle and pocket bracket, tripod bracket, bar bracket and a lanyard.
Kinyun Australia also manufactures or supplies uncertified industrial LED products such as LED safety vests, torches and industrial headlights.
