NORCAT, a leader in the development and provision of skilled labour training and innovation services for the global mining industry, has announced the opening of an office in Chile. “The new office will enable NORCAT to more effectively serve the growing base of clients and partners in Latin America and demonstrates NORCAT’s commitment to deliver on their ambitious growth strategy. This will be NORCAT’s fifth office in its global network.”
“Establishing our office in Chile reinforces our international presence, our commitment to ensuring exceptional quality and service levels for our clients, and specifically strengthens and expands our capabilities in Latin America,”says Don Duval, NORCAT CEO. “With our continued investments in our Underground Centre, the launch of Studio NORCAT, and the growth of our human capital advisory practice, we felt the timing was right to better engage our clientele in both Chile and Latin America more broadly.”
“The mining industry in the Latin American Andean Region is flourishing, with Chile, Peru, Ecuador and Argentina expecting $38 billion worth of investment over the next three years,” says Carlos Molina, NORCAT’s Latin America Manager. “NORCAT’s local and international expertise provide an incredible opportunity for clients to be at the forefront of training and development to ensure their workforce is both productive and safe on the job – all day, every day.”
“Chile is home to a number of existing and planned long-term precious and base metal mining operations and is noted worldwide for the vastness and quality of its mining resources. NORCAT’s new office location will offer skilled labour training and development programs and strategic advisory services to mining companies, including compliance and risk management, talent and human capital, and technology, learning and innovation strategies.”
