The team is comprised of in-house employees and consultants to support the development of a rare earth metals separation refinery to process ore material from the Wigu Hill Rare Earth Element (REE) project in Tanzania.

Tony Harwood, President and Chief Executive Officer of Montero commented: “Montero’s new engineering team will lead and support Mintek’s mineral processing and hydrometallurgical optimisation process to a feasibility study and eventually construction of a process plant and refinery operation. The team have a proven track record in minerals processing and hydrometallurgical test work, process design, feasibility, construction and production operations and will be key in achieving our plan to fast-track mining and production of rare earths from the Wigu Hill project in Tanzania. Securing the right team to fast track development of the mine and refinery is a crucial step towards production at Wigu Hill.”
