Extensive Pioneer Pump mining line-up for Hillhead

200ch.jpgPioneer Pump says it is showing “a massive vote of confidence in the UK quarry and mining markets” by taking its largest ever stand to display its largest number of pumpsets to date at the forthcoming Hillhead mining and quarrying show in Buxton, UK. ” The company said it rates Hillhead as the third most important show this year after MINExpo in Las Vegas and Electra Mining in Johannesburg, and as such, the Pioneer stand will show a total of seven different engine-driven pumpsets, the largest of which will be powered by a CAT C18 600 hp engine capable of pumping almost 1,000m³ / h at pressures of over 10 bar, making it the highest performing mine dewatering pump in the UK, according to Pioneer.

Based on the company’s “Rock & Rain System” design, the 200CH pumpset will be joined by the 150CH and 100SH, powered by CAT C15 450 hp and CAT C9 300 hp engines, respectively making up just a few of the 12 pumpsets available in the this innovative design. At the smaller end of the range, the company will also be showing its ever popular 100SL and 150SL small, sound-attenuated canopy pumpsets, which combine hydraulic performance with compact packaging, leading to smaller environmental footprints and lower running costs.

Simon Ruffles, Managing Director at Pioneer Pump commented: “We designed these high performance pumpsets for the mining industry in Africa where heavy duty equipment with extraordinary performance is required to maintain the mines’ water levels. But now with the rains that arrived in April, more and more quarry companies are looking for pumpsets that offer them the possibility to rapidly increase their flows, without the need to bring in extra pumps. Pioneer Pump has long been present in the mining and quarrying industry, but since the recession, business in the UK has slowed down. However, we believe that there is a strong market for pumps in this country and, for this reason, we are looking forward to attending Hillhead and presenting our products.”
