Following the initial announcement on the order for the BELAZ Singapore-based dealer Belazia back in October 2019, eight 130 t BELAZ 75131 mining dump trucks have now set to work transporting overburden with contract miner Darma Henwa at the huge Bengalon coal mine in East Kalimantan, Indonesia, which is owned by PT Kaltim Prima.

Based on the demands of the customer a number of special options have been incuded on the trucks including special cooling & air conditioning systems and use of rubber grades suitable for tropical conditions. BELAZ said Belazia Pte Ltd will provide technical support and ensure the high level of performance of the machines. To give an idea of the scale of production at Bengalon, in March 2020 alone, Darma Henwa produced just under 1 Mt of coal at the mine which involved removing about 7 Mbcm of overburden.
