Laser specialist Measurement Devices Ltd (MDL) has announced the launch of its new Technical Services website. The company states that the new site is set to broaden its horizons as MDL as it will not only offer product sales and service, but a complete package of technical and project support, as part of an aim to be a complete solutions provider to customers.
Jonathan White, a 3D laser scanning veteran with more than ten years of experience in mining and other industries, has been hired to manage the new division in the Americas. Mark Reid, a Geomatics Engineer with 11 years experience in the LiDAR industry, has been hired to spearhead the UK and remaining regions for the new division. Both have been involved with some of the world’s largest laser scanning based engineering projects. Obtaining information such as volumetric data, 3D models of underground abandoned mines and cavities, and rock face profiling have become easier and safer to obtain through advances in technology from groups such as MDL, says the company, but still with a reduced price point within the market. MDL has also made significant efforts toward making vital hardware such as Dynascan, its portable mobile mapping solution, available to wider audiences.
The Technical Services division makes the benefits of laser measurement technology available to all, according to MDL. From product hire for mapping land and sea based applications to project management, data processing and technical support, the options are becoming more varied. The Technical Services website is live and can be accessed at the main website www.mdl-laser.com
