The contract has an estimated value of A$8.5 million, with work commencing immediately and continuing for approximately 18 months. The Meandu mine supplies over 7 Mt/y of coal to the adjacent Tarong power stations. LogiCamms’ scope for the control system upgrade project involves detailed design, installation, factory and site acceptance testing, commissioning, and operator training.
LogiCamms’ Managing Director, Steve Banning, said that the contract award builds on the company’s solid track record in control system projects and delivery of services to the coal industry. “We are pleased to be working with Stanwell to deliver the Meandu CHPP Control System upgrade, for which LogiCamms will draw on its extensive coal industry experience across multiple disciplines, as well as a strong understanding of delivering projects in brownfield environments,” Banning said. “The award of this contract is further evidence of our capability in assisting clients to enhance the long term value of their existing operational assets,” Banning said.
