Wilden, a leader in air-operated double-diaphragm (AODD) pump technology, is exhibiting in Booth #2063 at MINExpo 2012 and will be highlighting its Stallion® Series of Solids Handling AODD pumps. The company states that Stallion pumps are designed to excel in harsh mining environments and have a history of successful use in metalliferous, coal and other open-cut and underground mines in site dewatering and general transfer applications.
Wilden states: “Stallion Series pumps are ideal for use in mining operations because they have handles that allow easy movement of the pump and a screen base that keeps larger-than-acceptable solids from entering the fluid inlet. The screen bases are constructed of polyurethane, which absorbs the shock-and decreases the possibility of damage-when the pump is dropped into a hole for dewatering. Stallion pumps also feature Wilden’s Pro-Flo XTM Air Distribution System (ADS), which maximises pump flexibility and control through its patented Energy Management System (EMS).
Stallion pumps are available in three sizes – PX4 (1-1/2 in), PX8 (2 in) and PX15 (3 in) – with flow rates ranging from 305 litres/min (81 gpm) to 776 litres/min (205 gpm), suction lifts from 5.7 m to 9.2 m and maximum discharge pressures to 125 psi. The pumps can handle solids from 13 mm (1/2 in) to 25 mm (1 in) in size.
