Preparations for bauma CHINA 2022 are in full swing according to organisers Messe München. The 11th International Trade Fair for Construction Machinery, Building Material Machines, Mining Machines and Construction Vehicles is going to be held from November 22 to 25, 2022 at the Shanghai New International Expo Centre (SNIEC).
Despite the challenging circumstances, about 3,000 exhibitors are expected to occupy the entire exhibition space of 300,000 m². Exhibitor registration is still in progress while visitor pre-registration is open now. As bauma CHINA celebrates its 20th anniversary in China, Messe München’s statement says “it will continue to provide the key platform for Chinese construction machinery companies to showcase its capability to the world, and the ‘gateway’ for international companies to enter the China market.”
The situation is still challenging but improving. As of June 28 2022, the quarantine measures for inbound travellers to mainland China have been reduced to seven days of centralised quarantine, followed by three days of home monitoring for most cities. Additionally, the embassies of China in France, Australia, Indonesia, Norway, Spain and the United States have also relaxed their Chinese visa application requirements since June 20, 2022.
To date, international pavilions from Germany, Italy, Spain and South Korea have confirmed their participation. Major international brands like Caterpillar, Komatsu, ISUZU, Bonfiglioli, Bosch Rexroth, Danfoss and Parker have also applied to participate in bauma CHINA 2022 which Messe München claims as Asia’s leading trade fair for the construction and mining machinery industry.
To achieve the country’s dual carbon goals of getting CO2 emissions to peak by 2030, then reducing them progressively and finally arriving at carbon neutrality by 2060 through planting trees, saving energy and reducing fossil fuel output to offset carbon emissions, automation, digitalisation, artificial intelligence, energy conservation and emission reduction have become the main drivers for industrial transformation and upgrading.
Key construction machinery manufacturers have since introduced new products to meet the China IV emission standards for non-road machinery – a series of standards that aim to transit all heavy-duty vehicles to soot-free emission levels. At the same time, China’s focus on strengthening and modernising its infrastructure system will boost domestic demand for construction machinery and create new opportunities for construction machinery manufacturers.
