Volvo Bring Their Biggest And Best to MINExpo 2021

Volvo will be showcasing an elite line-up of their largest loaders, rigid haulers and excavators this fall – and you can get a first-hand look at their cutting-edge designs at their MINExpo 2021 booth (#8127), on September 13-15.

R100E Rigid Hauler

R100E Rigid Hauler

The new Volvo R100E rigid hauler is built to drive down operating costs for customers by boosting productivity, uptime and operator comfort. It is powered by a premium 783 kW (1,050 hp) Tier 4 Final engine, with a combined drivetrain to provide high torque capabilities, unparalleled pulling performance and class-leading rimpull for optimal travel times.

Customers can also expect to spend less per haul thanks to a 60.4 cu.m (79 cu.yd) capacity V-shaped body for optimum load retention and minimal material carry-back. The load profile policy enables operator to meet a consistent average target payload, while the body-tipping system ensures a fast cycle times for an all-round efficient performance.

EC950F Excavator

EC950F Excavator

Another example is the 90 t (100 ton) Volvo EC950F crawler excavator, the largest in Volvo’s lineup. This excavator is equipped with a 450 kW (603 hp) Volvo D16 Tier 4 Final engine that delivers high torque at low rpm, making it ideal for fast and efficient on-site production.

Pairing the EC950F with a Volvo A60H articulated hauler allows customers to realise extreme productivity potential. The EC950F fills the 55 t (60 ton), 33.6 cu.m (43.9 cu.yd) haul truck in just four bucket passes, with an average cycle time of 20-25 seconds.

Volvo’s unique ECO Mode is another efficiency booster that helps the EC950F achieve outstanding fuel efficiency, while the integrated work mode allows operators to choose the best approach for the task at hand: select from I (Idle), F (Fine), G (General) and H (Heavy).

L350H Wheel Loader

L350H Wheel Loader

And, finally, the Volvo L350H wheel loader is fitted with next-generation hydraulics and powered by a Tier 4 Final D16J engine for high torque at low rpm. The ideal partner for quarry production, the L350H now comes with a higher capacity 7.3 cu.m (9.5 cu.yd) rock bucket for maximum performance.

The new load sensing hydraulic system on the L350H works in harmony with the drivetrain, increasing response times and lifting and lowering speed of the newly designed buckets, resulting in up to 5% faster cycle times. The hydraulic system and drivetrain improvements, coupled with the latest Volvo engine technology, make the L350H up to 10% more fuel efficient when compared with the L350F front end loader it replaces.

It is also equipped with the latest technology dedicated to reducing fuel consumption and engine emissions. Volvo’s Fully Automatic Power Shift (FAPS) system allows for machine operation in the optimal fuel-efficient gear according to speed, kick-down and engine braking, which enhances fuel efficiency.

Going big doesn’t necessarily mean your operating costs will follow suit. You can mitigate them when you work with an OEM dedicated to efficient designs and proactive services that keep you up and running for optimal efficiency.

Be sure to check out these machines and more at MINExpo this fall at the Volvo Booth #8127.
