Swift gets three-year extension at Tropicana gold mine

Swift says it has signed a renewal agreement to provide 24/7 technical support services for 36 months and entertainment services for 12 months to the accommodation village at the Tropicana gold mine in Western Australia (AngloGold Ashanti 70% and manager, Regis Resources Ltd 30%).

This contract includes the provision of remote and on-ground technical support by Swift’s skilled 24/7 technical support teams. It also includes the provision of entertainment services via Swift’s reseller agreement with Foxtel.

The total contract value over the full 36-month term is A$1.2 million ($800,713) with operating costs revenue commencing in July 2024.

This agreement is for a renewal of services provided by Swift Networks and represents a well-established, long-standing relationship with AngloGold Ashanti Australia, which is a subsidiary of AngloGold Ashanti plc, the company said. Swift and AngloGold Ashanti Australia entered their first agreement in 2015.

Swift Access to entertain and engage OZ Minerals Carrapateena FIFO workers

Swift says it has secured an installation agreement and a new three-year subscription agreement with OZ Minerals Limited to service its Carrapateena mine site, in South Australia, with Swift Access.

The total contract value of both agreements is A$1.4 million ($954,680) over the three-year subscription term and includes associated installation revenue, with installation expected to be completed in the first half of the 2023 calendar year.

Swift said this contract represents ongoing subscription revenue for Swift Access: Swift’s premium entertainment and engagement solution powered by proprietary technology developed specifically to enable a reliable service within low bandwidth environments, Swift’s local 24-hour support and other additional channels.

Swift Access will allow OZ Minerals staff to cast their favourite streaming apps from their mobile device straight to their room’s TV, all while maintaining user privacy and offering smart device setup and allows management to improve efficiencies for facility staff.

As part of the agreement, Swift Access will provide OZ Minerals staff with Swift’s full content library including first-release movies and sector-specific mental health and indigenous education resources. Swift Access also allows facility managers to easily upload and distribute site information such as inductions, health and safety messages and more, directly to TVs across the site.

The entire Swift Access experience is managed by Swift’s unique bandwidth management platform and includes support services over the three-year term.

Mineral Resources’ FIFO staff to gain Swift Access to entertainment, engagement services

Swift Networks says it has secured a new three-year agreement with Mineral Resources Limited to service its nine mine sites with Swift Access.

The contract comes with a subscription value of A$3.4 million ($2.1 million), with revenues expected to commence in second half of the company’s 2023 financial year, it said.

This contract represents ongoing subscription revenue for Swift Access: Swift’s premium entertainment and engagement solution powered by its proprietary technology developed specifically to enable a reliable service within low bandwidth environments, Swift’s local 24 hour support and other additional channels, Swift said.

Installation and upgrade work, which is additional to the A$3.4 million subscription revenue, will be performed by Swift’s in-house infrastructure team across MinRes’ portfolio on a site-by-site basis.

Swift kicks off work with Rio, Roy Hill, Strandline, OZ Minerals and South32

Swift, a specialist technology company focused on delivering network infrastructure and premium entertainment and communications, has announced it has recently commenced works on seven new projects across Western Australia and Queensland for key clients Rio Tinto, Roy Hill, Strandline, OZ Minerals and South32.

As part of these projects, Swift will be upgrading and installing its various network solutions which have been designed and deployed by Swift’s in-house team. The total contract value of these agreements is A$1.2 million ($866,418).

While the aggregate revenue from these contracts is material to the company, no individual contract currently generates revenue over A$1.0 million, Swift said.
